Payment methods- paypal vs bank

I have been a host of over a year.  After a full year, so many things I started with have changed and I am considering changing my payment method.

I bank at a credit union and for the first 6 months the money seemed magical in the way it dropped into my account in about 48 hours after check in.  But now, the credit unions has  made some changes and Airbnb can often be a bit sloggy when paying (holidays and weekends wreck havoc on cash flow). 

I am now on day 5 of a stay (with some awful guests) and have yet to receive my host fees.  In the late fall, many of my three days guests were gone  and a new check in was underway before I was paid! Airbnb seems to in most cases pay out on time but my credit union could be the problem.

Is paypal a quicker method?  I don't get international travelers enough to worry about exchange rates.  Thanks!

paypal is very fast (within one day) but they charge you 3.9 to 4.9%.
