Payment when hosting abroad

Hi all, 

Does anyone host in a country that they don't live in? How do your payments work? Do you need to have a bank account in the country your listing is in? I live in the UK, and my listing is in India. I would prefer to be paid into my UK bank account, but I've been told that isn't possible, and I have to be paid into an Indian bank account. 

Anyone had experience with this?

I believe you can set up payments to come into your UK account. Does it say anything about this on the Airbnb Help Centre under payments @Vrinda3  or under the information about India on Airbnb's website ?

It won't let me even publish my listing. When I try to route payment from the listing to my UK bank account, it says not possible for India listing. So looks like I need to open a current account in India and take payment through that, which isn't ideal..
