Phishing Scam in Reservation Request

Today we received a request along the lines of:

"Hello, I need to rent your place for 5 nights, but there is a problem because your place is listed in another place with no reviews, from which part I can continue with the booking? you have there the second listing with no reviews *external link removed for security*Thank you"

I always check web sites are valid spelling before clicking and thought I'd see what "Kamal" was about (0 reviews, joined this month so other suspicious markers). This is a valid AirBnB website... that then automatically redirects to another site that looks just like the login page.

AirBnB making it very easy for phishers to use a valid airbnb.com address !  Reported by phone and email.

I would just apologize and say that, sorry hosts are unable to assist with technical errors with the website. Please contact Airbnb customer service directly and they may be able to help!

Thanks Cheryl -- I did contact AirBnB but wanted to raise awareness for other hosts as this loophole looks to be easily exploited. Hosts are protected by Two-Factor authentication but so many people use the same password in different sites that an attacker could simply use this approach to gain access to hosts other systems.
