Possible Scam from number ***

Been getting inquiries about renting my house from the above number.  Seems phishy as they are asking random questions and not just booking the rental.  Pretty sure it's a scammer:

Thank you very much for your answer, you are a very responsible landlord. I am very satisfied. I still need your help, I need a guide. If I rent your house, then you will be the most suitable choice. I want to get to know you. So I hope to be able to add address book friends, of course, you can also refuse. I can understand that. Maybe you don't have time to be my guide.

Sorry, I can't be a guide. If you want to book the house you have to do so through AirBnb

You can rest assured that this will not affect you. When I'm sure I want to rent, I'll book your house on Airbnb. and complete the payment in one go

In order not to affect your rental property, I can only contact you in this way. You are kind and you choose to help me a lot. thank you very much. We can be friends if you want.

Now had one for a while but airbnb were right on to them, usually send out a warning email,

I also received a suspicious request from this number 2053952640 and asked what to expect to receive after the booking.

I just got an inquiry from this number for a 2 month stay.  His name now is Chen.  Very much a scam I am sure.......requested photo ID.  That's when they usually balk.

request for pre-approval came through, then I immediately got a message "Hi I booked for the 11th can I have the address Mike palmer." so this number, 205-395-2640 is still going strong with the scamming.

Just got a text message from 205-395-2640 after booking an AirBnB... ugh! Like a dummy I assumed it was real and clicked on the link, then screen wouldn't load. I restarted all my devices and uploaded upgrades. Now I'm worried about malware, CC numbers, etc. How could this number be out there for so long and AirBnB not doing anything about it?
