Hello, I am a host and I have pre-approved a guest while we discussed a few amenities. When she then went to confirm the booking, her price had changed (increased) nearly $200. I did not do this as the host. How did this happen and how can I make sure my guest gets the price she was quoted when she was pre-approved?
Pre-approval only included the total nightly rate and cleaning fee if you have one. It does not include the Airbnb service fee. Most probably, the $200 increase that the guest will see is the service fee.
@Susie199 That sounds really odd. Do you have smart pricing on, that might have changed the price? If not, you should call Airbnb to see what could have happened, or the guest should.
Also check to make sure it isn't a currency discrepancy. Like maybe the guest have their account set to Canadian dollars and the currency exchange changed the total.
