Questions => new host

Dear all ,

Not sure how this works .. so I am asking again.

I live in Netherlands , and I am not sure if I need to pay taxes or how to declare it ?

I am also not sure if I need to give a receipt ?

I have not given my bank numbers to anyone , so how will I get paid ?

Is there a helpdesk where I can email my questions ?

Sincerely ,

Aroop

@Aroop0 Oh my! You really need to spend some quality time with the Airbnb Help section as you are asking some very basic questions.

As far as paying taxes, you will need to check with your local authorities to see if they require any Occupancy Taxes.  Here is anAirbnb link on that:

When a guest has a confirmed reservation, Airbnb sends them an itinerary which has all the information on payment and serves as a receipt.

Have you set up a payout account?  Airbnb will need to know where to send your reservation payouts.

I would advise you to "Snooze" until you have read up on some of the basics.  Here's how to do this

Hope this helps!

@Aroop0

Hi, and yes your income through Airbnb has to be declared. Rental regulations are different for each city, so you also have to contact your gemeente about their regulation for room or apartment rental and how to register for this. Not doing this can be fined heavily when they check.

Also see if there is an active closed Facebook group for Eindhoven like this one you can join :
