I recently had a 4 star review from a guest who did not like having to walk less than a minute from the car to my door. Despite my listing saying there is on street parking in the village only.
They left 5 stars on location and all the sub categories.
the thing is they also left the name of my house on the review and making a quick google search and you could find my full address..
after talking on chat trying to get it removed they said it wasn’t breaching policy and sent me a link which says ‘Content that is sufficient to identify a listing’s location or other content that may pose a personal safety risk to an Airbnb community member’
I rang them afterwards and it was shortly deleted from the listing as it was clearly violating the policy. They told me it could not be edited only completely removed.
I just value my privacy I’m glad they fixed it even if I lost a review.
im just letting hosts know that should a guest reveal too much about your location and you like your privacy like me there is a way to have it removed but it will effect your listing review % as mine is now only 50%
@Gemma171 yes, it is good to know.
The same as if you review a member of your guest's group by name, the guest can ask your review to be removed ( he may be married and stayed with his lover). This is why we always mention just the name of the person who booked and then, maybe " his/her group"
@Gemma171 Yes, this happened to me as well a couple of years ago. A guest left a review, not totally favourable, which had my full address in it and after a couple of calls to CS it was completely removed.
