Refund and Cancellation

Hi, Ive just had a cancellation, the guy messaged me to let me know which Im grateful off. The booking came under non-refundable which will mean, hopefully, I shall still receive the full payment for the reservation. However it is still showing as booked on my calender.  Im not sure if the guy has officially cancelled it, as I say he just messaged my via the site saying he can no longer make the dates. How do I free these nights up? With the intention of possibly getting another reservation 🙂

The guest needs to cancel the reservation asap. In other words: the guest must take the action he already announced in the message. After that the cancellation policy decides about refund (if any) and dates are available again for other people.
