HI there, can anyone explain the resolution process to me. I have a property where the guest was unhappy and requested a refund for accommodation. This was granted with no issue whatsoever and everyone was happy. I have just discovered that the refund has come from a totally different property's account even though the account with the resolution just received a payment of $2000. Why is it not allocated to the property that had the resolution? After speaking with Airbnb Case Manager I was advised that this is the Airbnb process the money just comes from the next payment regardless of who owns that property. Can anyone offer any advice on this as it just doesn't make sense.
Hi Meg, Are these different accounts, or different properties within the same account? You write different property's account, but not if it's a different airbnb host account?
Hi Solveig, great to hear from you. They are different properties, each owned separately by different owners, each with their own bank account and payment routing in place. They do all come under my one host account as I am the property manager.
@Meg150 yes, that's how Airbnb does it. The refund is deducted from the host's next payout, regardless of listing or banking info. You will have to reconcile the accounting with your separate owners on your own.
Thanks Lisa, I find this amazing that a company like Airbnb can route guest payments to the correct accounts however can not route resolution payouts from the correct account.
