I always respond within hours. My rating is being lowered because the guest asked a question, which I answered. I neither approved nor declined the offer. I answered the question and the guest did not respond. Why am I penalized for that? That does not seem right, Airbnb. I respond within hours.
Doesn't count unless an accept or a decline. You can always tell non responding guests that you had to decline as they didn't respond, but you are happy to accept a new request should they still want it.
