Review Rate

Review Rate

We were wondering what the percentage next to "Review rate" means in our stats. We have almost perfect numbers with this exception.

Thanks!

Hello @Sonny-and-Chelsey0,

That means that 71% of guests who stayed with you left a review. So some just didn't leave any review or rating.

For superhost status you need only 50% or more to do so. So you're well alright there.

Congrats on the 100% five star reviews.

Steve.

Hello!

I have just begun hosting and have had 2 guests so far who have both left 5-star reviews.  This shows up on my stats but the "review rate" says 0%.  Could anyone explain this to me?

Thanks a bunch!

Milly

what did you find out?.....we are in the same spot.....we`ve had reviews but still shows 0%......thanks

Still a mystery... I think the comment above form Steve is correct but Im also seeing contradictary comments as well. Im not much help 😞

That happened to me as well. From what I understand, your stars don't show up until you have had three reviews. Just makes the odds that if all three give you a five star rating, that is actually what it is and not just going by what the first person thought. The comments will show up from those first two guests though.

This just seems odd that we're graded on this to be a superhost.  Like we can control whether people leave a review or not! Everything on our end is 100% except this which is at 84%.

I agree.  I have many repeat customers (e.g. one comes 1 week per month), and they don't leave reviews after the first time or two.  I have everything in the high 90's except this one rating.  I have lost out on Superhost solely on guest review rates.

same problem here. Repeating customers will not review repeatingly....

Brand new to hosting and we're in the same boat. 100% on everything, but our review rate is actually still 0%, even though each of our first three bookings left a review. I'm guessing that over the next couple weeks that will change. We have 8 reservations over the course of our first 2 weeks hosting.

My stats show 10 completed trips now, so will be eligible for Superhost on 1 July, but review rate is 75%.  How can 7.5 people have left reviews? Of ten trips, it clearly has to be a multiple of 10%.  I am a mathematician and have no idea where they are getting this figure from.

Hi miss mathematician 🙂

This might be because there's a delay in the registration of the review. Maybe 6 out of 8 left a review, and the last two is not registrated yet.

I'm new to Airbnb. I like my guests to fill nice on their vacation just like I would. But pushing people to review me is not a nice thing to do. Please Airbnb managers take this into consideration. I thing good reviews are enough.

When I realized that I actually to not care about super host status, my guests come first.

Best wishes

I also have a guest who stays with us regularly.  He left a 5-star review and nice comments about our space after his initial stay.  Since then, he has not posted a review, which has lowered my review rate.  Obviously, he's pleased or he would not continue to return.

I have asked AirBnB to reconsider how they calculate the review rate for return guests and suggest that you make a similar request.  Maybe they will consider a change if enough of us speak up.

I agree totally Linda. I have a guest who has stayed about a dozen times with many more stays to come and only left one review. I'm pretty new to hosting but have also questioned the review policy regarding this situation. Don't have the heart or inclination to ask him to review every time or even again,  but clearly, I'm probably not going to make Superhost regardless to 100% five-star ratings.
