Self check in

Hi all,

I have a flat, where all post boxes are inside the block. 

And sometimes guests want to come later, so self check in would be perfect solution for that.

Any advises what kind of self check in do you use?

you have one flat among others in a bigger building? May I ask you, before taking in consideration to install self check-in appliances, did make sure that you are allowed to do this?

My apartments are located in a building with 30 other flats. I am the owner of my apartments, but without permission of the administration and the other owners, I am neither allowed to change my door nor change anything on the common area, included the installation of key boxes.

No, i dont want to change anything by myself. My question was, how usually people do self check in. maybe any ideas where to leave a ket for guests, not to install anything.

@Stanislav29 I prefer a key box with a numeric code (no batteries) on a more hidden spot. Using the AirBnb App to support guests with fotos to locate the site of the key box.

I just recommend to pay attention on a better quality so that it functions reliably and resists the weather conditions and unauthorized persons. AliExpress would not be my first address to search for.
