Ok, this is a little random but I have two bookings, almost identical yet I being charged two very different % host fees, anyone know why?
Booking 1
Tuesday night x 2 guests -----> £47 x 1 night + Cleaning fee £8 = Subtotal £55---> Service fee -£1.98 Total payout = £53.02
(Begining of Jan)
Booking 2
Tuesday night x 2 guests -----> £44 x 1 night + Cleaning fee £8 = Subtotal £53---> Service fee -£1.00 Total payout = £51.00
(End of Jan)
Why on earth would it charge double the service fee to me, for an extra £3 booking?
Everything else is the same, number of people, day of the week, cleaning fee..
I can almost understand (almost not quite) why airbnb would charge guests different % on service fees depending when they book, (ie like an airplane ticket, if you by on a friday night it can cost more than a tuesday night), but i'm the host, I can't control when and why a guest would book so why should my fees change so drastically?
I know these bookings are small but if these were for longer stays, and the fees were double, that would be a big difference?
Anyone know why?
