Shanghai Love

I am fairly convinced my current guest is a Shanghai call girl and is soliciting sex from my home. She isn't bringing the clients in but they are picking her up and dropping her off. I have been present for at least 5 pick ups. How many others there have been I cannot say. What do I do?

Hello @Amanda78

I'm so sorry for what you are experiencing!

I'm not familiar with US legislation, but here in Norway any hosting for prostituets is illegal as it is considered hosting a brothel. Luckily I have not had guests like yours, but I know that it has been a problem for some hosts in the city centres. When discovered the guests are thrown out due to breaking the law.

Hi @Amanda78  What is your concern with respect to the guest?  Is she breaking some house rules?  Is it more of a moral issue for you?  How can the host forum assist you?

It is kind of icky that the johns know where the host's home is and that they may construe something about the host by the behavior of the guest.  It is also not something that one would want one's neighbors to become aware of.

This falls into the category of AWKWARD!  You could ask the guest if she is 'working' and if she is she will probably tell you.  If she is not 'working' she might not even  know what you mean so no harm done and she'll just say she's on vacation.

If she says yes, then tell her that she really cannot give your address to her customers and that she should either relocate her business or meet them somewhere else.  If she says no, then you could say to her, "Well it just looked like that might be the situation and I'd prefer it if you had your friends pick you up at a more neutral location so that it doesn't look like that to my neighbors because this is a RESIDENTIAL neighborhood."

OR, you could have a small dinner party and invite some men in blue, but ask them to please come in uniform and park their patrol cars out front.

Thank you for recognizing all these factors.

I I want to add I share my home with my nine year old daughter.

Like any other topic I've encountered here and in most other community forums, I post to discover the the thoughts, viewpoints, feedback, input, perspectives, opinions, and so on of others in the realm of possibility. Perhaps I should have asked, "What would you do? If anything."

@Amanda0 We had this happen once.  My partner looked in the newspaper under escorts for matching numbers and found it.  He called as it was the same number they had booked under and was treated to a "menu".  Have a male call the number if you feel you need confirmation - I wouldn't - from what you have described.  For me personally I would offer a cash refund and get her OUT.  You don't need your house asociated with that kind of trade.

We have on our terms and conditions that no business involving the public is to be conducted on the premises, which may or may not be enough to have someone evicted.  We use that as a deterrant and have not had this problem since.  We went to the police to ask what we should do and they said that they would sort it for us but we chose not to have their intervention in fear of retaliation.

I can tell you right now she will lie if asked directly.  She may have a number of clients lined up for her stay and will not want to have to contact them all again with new pick up information.

It's not worth the money.  Get her out.
