Special offer that keep changing status

Hi all

 

Wonder if some of you can help me with this bizarre situation..

 

I have a potential guest trying to book my place. Initially she sent an enquiry, I responded with a special offer (SO) that incorporated the tourist tax required here. She said she wanted to accept. 

 

The status of the SO now keeps changing - from expired, back to not expired, to expired. It's far too early for it to actually expire.

 

At some point just now, my calendar said that I was awaiting payment from her on the SO - now showing grey in my calendar. A few minutes later, it's gone. I suggested that when the SO shows expired, she should send a regular request and we'd sort the tax later. She said that she was unable to do so because Airbnb said she had a reservation already - I assume the above acceptance of the SO.

 

What on earth is happening?? Any ideas? 

 

What could cause a SO to show as expired? Is this actually something that's coming from her? Or is this a glitch that you've previously experienced?
