Super Host Status Lost - Is there anything I can do?

On 3/25/22, 10am, I had an inquiry from Sara, on another site, asking if my place was close to a camp, I responded it was. This was for 2 people for one week, 7/23-7/30. At 10:20PM, that same day, I had an inquiry on that same site from Nancy, asking about rates and baby furniture and this was for 6-8 people for 3nights, 7/22-7/25. I sent Sara a special offer on the other site, because I preferred to rent to 2 people for 1 week vs 6-8 people for 3 nights and I asked her if she could please let me know as soon as possible.

I then responded to Nancy, saying, " hi Nancy! I just pre-approved a group earlier today for 7/23-7/30. They're supposed to have 72 hours to confirm, but I did just email her a few minutes ago to let her know I've had another inquiry and if she could let me know one way or the other, I would be grateful!! So I'm hoping to hear back from her soon! As for your questions, if your number of guests decreases, yes, I can and would adjust the reservation prior to arrival. I don't have a crib but I do have a pack & play available there! I'm heading to bed soon but I can message you tomorrow when I (hopefully) hear back from the other group!!! Thank you so much for inquiring! ~michelle

At 12:20PM on 3/26/22, I received notification from AirBNB that my place had been booked for 7/22-7/25. After a couple emails back and forth, I discover this new booking on AIRBNB is from the same Nancy who'd inquired on the OTHER site! Weird, because I'd told her on the other site that I was waiting to hear back from that other group. Anyway, while I was figuring this out, I also see that Sara accepted my pre-approved offer and made payment on the other site at 7:32AM on 3/26! So how in the world was Nancy able to book at 12:20pm? My calendars are and always have been synced.

I ended up cancelling Nancy's AirBNB reservation, and explained as well as I could what had happened - she was understandably upset but we worked things out. Obviously I was in a position where I had to cancel one reservation or the other.

So yesterday I got a notification from AirBNB that I am no longer a SuperHost, because my cancellation rate went up. (This is my only cancellation ever.)

I don't think this is fair but I'm not sure how to proceed. I would be grateful for any advice or suggestions! Thank you!

Update - I called AIRBNB and explained the situation to them. The gentleman who helped me was incredibly helpful! They will review my situation and see if they can reinstate my Super Host status, and he also recommended perhaps removing instant booking so this type of thing can't happen. Even though AIRBNB does recommend instant booking. I was so happy to get a real person and thrilled that he was so kind and able to help me!!!

That all sounds good @Michelle1605  well done!

Make sure to update us with the final outcome.

Thank you @Paul1255 ! I received an email from support just now saying they will be reinstating my SuperHost status - "this one time"...! The web page shows my status as "being assessed" and to check back on 4/6/22. I'll have to be patient! 🙂

As of today, my Super Host status still hasn't been reinstated. I messaged support yesterday and whoever replied doesn't seem to know the situation. Don't they keep notes on accounts? I provided the information he requested and have not heard anything back. Definitely losing faith. Is this a process that I should expect will take days or???

Not sure if anyone cares, LOL, but still waiting for Super Host status to be reinstated. I've been assured by CSR John (through messaging) that it will be, but that it will take a few days. 🙂
