I gave up work to care for my son and started doing airbnb 18 months ago. It is only just dawning on me now that I need to pay some tax. I haven't a clue about these things. I have a generous teacher's pension so I am above the threshold and I am in the uk. Where do I start with this?

Get yourself an accountant. Their expenses are deductible, and they would be the best way for you to pay toe correct tax, and make the correct deductions, on any extra income.

Tax is a very personal thing, any benefits you receive, on top of your pension, can make a difference.
