@Gregory296

If a guest cancels the reservation, he will be refunded (if any) according the cancellation policy attached to that reservation.

If the guest complained directly to Airbnb, @Gregory296, they'll decide on what happens next. However, based on your listing photos, I'm surprised the guests didn't know what standards they could expect.

If you feel the listing was as you describe and was clean then contact Airbnb and provide photos to help demonstrate this. They will then decide whether the guests gets a refund in addition to what they would be entitled to under your cancellation policy.

Don't offer to refund the guest more than they are owed under your policy.

As a wider point your photos and the way you present your listing doesn't make the most of it.

Retake the photos of your listings as many photos are blurred and don't really showcase your listing @Gregory296  . You may also want to invest in matching bedding and towels and a few decorations to brighten your accommodation.

Provide lots more information about what amenities are in your listing, what people can do in your area, whether shops and cafes and public transport is within walking distance etc and what sort of guests your accommodation is suitable for i.e. backpackers, families, etc etc

Also include photos of local attractions so people can imagine what it is like to stay.

@Gregory296  What you consider to be clean and what guests will consider to be clean may be two entirely different things. I would suggest you enlist the help of a friend or relative who you know keeps a supper-clean house and get them to come over and check whether they would consider it to be clean or not, and offer you suggestions as to how and what to clean.

As others have said, your photo gallery really needs work. Most of the photos of the apartment listing are clear, but there are some blurry ones there as well and the Meditation retreat photos are all fuzzy. Don't take photos of the beds with the covers all messed up and wrinkled, like someone just got out of bed. Close the toilet lid when you take bathroom photos. Clear away the clutter and the dirty dishes on the sink before taking photos. The apartment listing doesn't show all the beds. Your apartment listing says it sleeps 3 guests, but says there are zero beds??????

Wow, change your pictures they are really bad, for both listings. To be honest I would not expect a clean place after I saw those pictures. I'm not picky (I actually prefer to stay in hostels, and airbnb. I have slept in threehouse, tents, hammock ...you name it), and I would never, ever, consider either of your places. Sorry to say it like this, but you need to make changes fast if you are serious about hosting.
