Too many notifications from Airbnb concerning the arrival of a guest

Great service from Airbnb - My only gripe is that we constantly receive tx messages on two mobiles and on email to say that a guest is due to arrive / Have we contacted the guest etc.  I found this very very irritating and do not need to be reminded over and over again.  That was for one booking so dreading having several!

Go to Account Settings, @Julie909, where you do have some control over how you are reminded of things. I say "some control" because I see I have 'text messages' checked in mine in all areas except promotions and policy, and yet I have never, ever, received a text from the system - only emails and push notifications. Try it, anyway. Might work. I agree that the guest-is-coming reminders get a bit much. Usually delete-able, but if a host had truly forgotten someone was coming, they would be a welcome call to action!

Thank you Lawrene.  Two years ago, I travelled round Europe and used Airbnb and inserted my friends mobile number and he keeps having the tx messages too!!  I shall take your advice - Cheers!  

OMG I agree!!!!  Too many notifications "so and so is arriving in 7 days make sure you..." and then again "so and so is arriving today.  Make sure you..."  I don't need to be micro managed thank you.  How can I make it stop?  Also they come at 7am (only because I have a sleep mode on the phone) can we opt out of this???  This is my business and my life.  I'm not going to forget a reservation or leave my apartment dirty!
