Hi all As a guest I have been declined from a booking. - amecably I might add. I used the contact host option but I have been asked to ' remove the booking as it is blocking dates '
I cant see a way of doing this.
No booking was made it was a message with date preferences.
The host has said that there is a temporary block on the dates ( Does anyone know hoew long ? ) and that they get penalised for declining - the only way to remove the block on the dates.
All you can do is point out to the host that there never was a confirmed booking as they declined your inquiry and say that they should be able to manually unblock the dates.
I don't know if there's the option for the host to keep the dates blocked when they decline an inquiry, there may be and perhaps they inadvertantly did this or the box was checked by default and unnoticed by the host.
Anyway, the host should be able to manually unblock the dates.
