Unreal

If someone cancelled on the spot because they didn’t like the place and got their full refund why in The world would Airbnb allow them to review. They told me it would not affect my listing but it did because the person got their money back, got a coupon and was given a review. I just pulled out my listing coz it’s beyond me.

@Rowena3

no point trying to second guess why Airbnb are treating hosts with such utter contempt these days. But don’t be forced off the site by guests like this. you have other great reviews, many state how clean your place is.

Most guests  looking to book, will read through several reviews and realise this was  obviously a one off  issue with this one guest. Nearly all of us have faced similar issues/ retaliatory reviews.

You can also leave a non emotional response to this review. Write it for future guests though. Don’t even acknowledge the exact issues with these particular guests. Move on and forget them. Because Airbnb will not alter their decision. The review is there to stay unfortunately,

@Rowena3 I feel your pain. As a host, sooner or later will have a guest similar to this. Unless Airbnb changes it erratic review system, no hosts can escape.

Just face the reality and move on. In the meantime, list your property elsewhere. Good luck!

Didn't little Brian promise us that people who didn't stay,  couldn't leave reviews?

Guess he can't keep the CSRs in line.
