Unsavory guest

Well, it finally happened, and I suppose after a year of pretty good guests, it had to happen.  I rented my room to a probable call girl.  Yep, checked my guests in at 630pm and by 830pm, she cancelled her reservation and left the mess behind.  I've gotten pretty good at following my gut feeling when I meet my guests, but this time I didn't pay attention to that feeling and my room, my home, my trust was violated.

After checking my guests in and seeing them settled, my husband and I left for another engagement.  When I recieved the cancellation notice, we came home. They were gone.  I went straight to the room and found the evidence ( markings ) lingering on the bedspread and the trash filled with evidence of their romp.

I'm guessing I'm not the only host to have this happen.  There isn't anything to be done.  She has deleted her account.  Airbnb can't do anything and if I get the chance to leave her a review, it will be so negative, it won't be allowed.  How do I get past this?

@Tara134

the only way I can think of is to replace the king bed for 2 twin beds. Make sure they have a wooden frame and couldn't be joined together without a gap in the middle 🙂

@Tara134Do you have you requirements set to only allow guests with a government ID and previous recommendations from hosts to instant book? That may be one way to weed out guests like this so it doesn't happen again.

I do, but this time I rushed it and didn't insist she provide the I'd.  Bad move.

Probably an affair, rather than a working girl. It's highly unlikely any girl is going to rent a private room in someone's home, for one job, with one client. Wouldn't make sense, financially or otherwise. And most girls who are working the circuit, tend to rent entire apartments for a week or two at a time.

Agree with @Susan17

Sounds like an affair. Hotels are used like this all the time.

We actually had a lady make a 5 night booking and a string of men visited the property.  My neighbours were outraged thinking I’d someone agreed this women could conduct her ‘business’ in my flat. Of course they only complained after she had checked out. She also deleted her account.

Something a bit similar happened to me. I was not sure how could I write a review based on the crazy and very loud noises that happened in the room.
