Airbnb Content Policy should really be changed to reflect when a review is untrue and the host can prove this through photos, or if the guests obviously sends inconsistent messages that prove that what they say is wrong and purely meant to damage the host's reputation just because they didn't read the listing's details properly.
I disagree that according to the Content Policy, it is allowed that guests are obviously lying and telling the untruth in public.
In the case of one guest, she mentioned missing towels whereas she gave as a feedback in a different place that the towels weren't fluffy enough. Missing towels was obviously a lie, and airbnb is still bothering me in the backend that I need to change this even though it was in December. This is annoying.
With the recent review, it is obviously a lie that there is space for only 2pp. This could easily be checked by just calling her. I have showed her space for 6pp when checking in, I have no clue where this review is coming from. Non functioning dishwasher cannot be claimed if it is not listed in the amenities. The normal (she says small) table for 4pp can be extended for up to 8 people, I can easily send pictures of this. She does obviously not understand how airbnb works because she's fairly new to it, and airbnb haven't even contacted her to make sure she understands with future hosts.
Very often it is not clear to guests that if they book a "room" instead of an "entire place", that they don't have the place to themselves. There is work to be done by airbnb as well, because it causes many very uncomfortable situations for us hosts in our own homes.
These review were both meant to damage the host's reputation because they have made a misstake when booking. And it were only the most recent ones I mentioned. It is unfair that this reflects on the host. If a host is able to prove that a review is untrue, either through providing photos or if the guests is obviously sending inconsistent messages, hosts should be protected better from receiving **bleep** from guests that they don't deserve.
