New to AirBnB and just recently made SuperHost and need advice from a seasoned host on how to rate/review an unusual guest.
They requested early check in (9:00 a.m.) "due to finance checking out of our local hospital and needing to rest". (After checking her 4 - 5 star reviews, I was able to accommodate this request once our current guest checked out). Oh.. and her location said she was from the same city she was booking!
She and her finance arrived via cab at 10:00 a.m. We didn't hear a SOUND for 30 hours - actually we didn't hear or see them for 3 full day/3 night and they were down the same hallway in our home. (not a problem w/this but I mean NO sounds whatsoever!!)
Upon their LATE departure (finally left 3 hours past house check out time - "waiting for a ride") and reviewing the room they stayed in - there was a quarter size red Sharpie Marker like stain on the sheets which bleed through to the mattress pad (cannot get out), spilled (what looked like coffee) on the carpet and blood drippings on a decorative pillow and also on the rug in the bathroom. And they drank 3/4 case of the extra water I have stashed in the closet.
But other than that, they were fine! I definitely wouldn't want to host them again... just strange! I even wondered if they were homeless b/c she arrived with a full laundry basket (but never used my washer). Rating them at a 4 is my instinct but are the above mentioned issues worth a lower rating. After reading what some people deal with, this wasn't much. But want to be fair to other hosts as well as I probably wouldn't like to host them again.
Thanks
