Verification and request for more information

I had a brand new airbnb guest request 2 days in my private studio. She sounded delightful but her profile was not filled in. A photo of house in winter and no other verifications. I do not have instant book on as I like to get a feel for the people coming to stay in my house. We are a non smoking home with pets. I feel that may be missed when people are considering my place.  She was affronted that I ask her to add more verifications and a proper profile picture. I told her airbnb is not a hotel where guests are anonymous. I suggested a hotel and declined the booking. When i declined the booking is it just a private message sent to airbnb as to why I declined the guest?

Hi, I totally understand and actually have a rule in my listing which states 'Guest(s) without their personal photo on their profile/ blurred photo, please contact me prior to booking; we will also require sight of your passport as photo ID on arrival'.  I will nt compromise on this; In addition they have to be verified by Airbnb. I have Instant Booking but I would decline anyone who books my room without meeting my criteria. 

I believe the guest will get the decline message; I've received responses from the guest in the past when I have declined and sent a message. Airbnb notes the reason which you provide from the options.
