Someone broke into our villa and both us and the guest were robbed. How do we proceed? We have no insurance in the house( we thought it was safe) and neither the guest they said. Only a Bose headphones were robbed to them, not the money, should I pay for the item? Maybe try to agree an amount?I told them I was going to but I feel also as a victim of the robbery so I dont know what is fair here.
Thanks in advance for any recommendation
We rented a villa in Barbados from Airbnb and second day there we where robbed. The thief broke thru the wood wall and entered the house. We called police and made a report. All our jewelry was stolen and our vacation was ruined. We would like to sue the Airbnb
@Ilir16 good on you. Sue the host and why not also ruin their reputation at the same time. Indeed why not lynch them while you are at it.
How ridiculous - Just accept there are thieves everywhere and claim on your travel insurance.
What am I allowed to sue them for ?
If you didn't purchase travel insurance, there is a possibility that your home owner's insurance would also cover a loss due to theft during a trip away from home.
Same thing happened to us in Estepona Spain couple of weeks ago.
Sorry to hear from all victims.
You are all right, when we rent a place from Airbnb we should feel safe.
Same thing happened to us in Spain. So far Airbnb is giving us the runaround by offering $500 for $40,000 worth of stolen items.
It's time for a class action suit against Airbnb. Anyone who wants to join please write back.
