We lost a three month booking because someone had instant booked for 3 days. How can we avoid this? Now Airbnb seems to have taken us off the map. What are others doing with this type of problem? Thanks,
Instant Booking is optional, you do not have to use it.
If you only want longer bookings you can adjust your settings accordingly.
You can set a minimum stay which would drive longer term bookings but then you'd miss out on short term bookings which my data suggests give one a better margin, guests tend to be out a lot more and don't use the utilities as much.
