Where does a Review 'Thumbs Down' show up?

Please clarify where the 'Thumbs Down' choice at the end of a (bad) Guest review affects the bad guest.

The Airbnb guest profile shows how many hosts recommend the guest.

My ‘bad guest’ had a profile with 6 hosts apparently recommending them with ’thumbs up’. 

I gave less than 3 stars, and a ’Thumbs Down’.

Afterwards I went back to look at the Guests’ profile, and now it indicates 7 hosts recommend this guest!

This is a falsehood!

Where does the ’Thumbs Down’ selection show up? 

It would appear this tool gives only erroneous reassurance to hosts. Further clarification would be gratefully received.

@Jonathan592  With a thumbs down the guest will no longer be able to instant book he will have to request to book. Then the hosts can look at his profile and see the negative review and pass on this guest.

Will a guest with a Thumbs Down be blocked from just my Instant Book, or all hosts with IB?

Can you point me to where this info shows up in the Instant book rules as I cannot locate any 'Policy' about it.

@Jonathan592  It's likely that the seventh thumbs up was not from your review.  The guest probably had another stay that was reviewed either just before or after their stay with you.

@Jonathan592  And there were 6 reviews there before you posted yours? Does your written review of the guest appear? If the guest has not reviewed you yet and the 14 days since check-out aren't up, your review would not even be there yet.

Yes Sarah, there were six reviews before mine. Yes, my review appears. Do you have any input about the Thumbs Down icon?

@Jonathan592   It's quite troubling that you gave him a thumbs down and it seems that it was registered as a thumbs up. It begs the question , is Airbnb just changing all this on the guest side so that all guests appear as recommended? If that's the case, it's outrageous, and it would explain why there are so many reports here of terrible guests having lots of good reviews and being able to continue to book, as well as the quality of guests having changed in the last year or so for the worse.

A few months ago I lost the feature to see if a guest is even recommended by a host. I only see their star rating and how many reviews. I’ve had guests who show low star ratings but glowing reviews so it doesn’t make any sense to me. I don’t think it is fair that the non-recommended guest only looses the ability to Instant Book because if I have someone request to book I wouldn’t think anything of it. How am I supposed to know that they are requesting to book because someone gave them a “thumbs down.” This is not always clear from the reviews. The whole thing seems pointless to me, actually.
