With filters I can see your listing w/o issues - in fact it was #1 🙂
@Marilice0, yours was very easy to find. I searched for your neighborhood, "Garsfontein" and there were 62 listings in your area. Your listing was very high: #2 of 62.
only 1 is mine. but thank you
Hello @Marilice0,
Welcome to the Community Center!
I was wondering if you've seen Matthew's helpful reply about your listing?
If so many of us are having the same problem with our listing disappearing then obviously its being manipulated by AirBnb. Its definitely not ethical as we all believe our listing is showing up. I do not feel that they should be muting our listing without some sort of notification or reason why. I am going to pursue this with them until I get a satisfactory answer.
I think you might have been left with the wrong impression about why so many people ask the question about "Where is my listing?"
I have helped a lot of people with the same problem.
It is always worth looking into each person's listing and circumstances as to why they are having trouble finding their own listing.
There are a number of common causes, and a few uncommon ones, and it is difficult to tell what is causing the problem for any one person unless you look at their specific circumstances.
One thing I do know though: for the vast majority of people who can't find their listing, the problem is *not* being "hidden" or "muted" by Airbnb.
Although on this board we disagree very strongly with some decisions Airbnb makes, and dislike a lot of their policies, I don't think anyone has ever brought any evidence that Airbnb hides or mutes any specific listings.
Airbnb may change their policies so that certain things move you up or down the search ranks, but those rules apply to everyone.
For your listing, I had no trouble finding it. I moved the map to your area and found it as #117 of 300+ on the map.
I find this interesting and suspect being that when I searched the map there was no pin at my location when I looked at it and I went through the entire listing for my city and my place was not on the list.
I am constantly updating my listing to keep it relevant and yet I haven't had a hit on my listing for months.
Do you work for air BNB or do you just happen to live in San Francisco?
I also want to find out where my direct link is to my listing? I've read on one community board that's it's the link appearing in the browser window when you click 'edit listing' - but when I copy/paste that url it's not my listing. It's called Urban Garden Retreat in Kansas City MO. Sounds like a ton of hosts are having the same issue....
Why doesn't Airbnb address this and make it easier?
