a guest hitting my caravan with their vehicle and who to claim from

Hi,

I had a guest who rented my caravan for the christmas week and was'nt happy with alot of things which was just a moan. But what they failed to mention in the review or on the private feedback was the fact that they had hit the corner of my caravan with their campervan and thought only to leave a voice mail .

Not sure who to claim from and cant find a contact number for airbnb.

Anybody any advice or anyone have contact details , phone number for airbnb in the u.k. ?

@Tim324 you should claim for the repair cost from your guest through the resolution center , like for any other damage. If he denies or doesn't answer then after 72 h you can involve Airbnb to mediate. You should have receipes or estimates for the repair, photographes, video if possible... anything what can proof the cost of damage.

It is good that at least you have a confesion on voice mail, it may help... maybe...

There is a certain timeline until when you can make a claim, browse help section how to claim for damages.

Or, if you have an insurance for your caravan and it covers this type of damage then claim from them

@Tim324 The guest was involved in a motor vehicle accident, no matter how minor. You need to file a police report providing the guest’s vehicle identification and then file the claim with your vehicle insurance company.

Your insurance company will go after the guest insurance company for payment. Your insurance may increase because you filed a claim, so you could try to resolve the issue through Airbnb.

Obviously this guest has no respect or regard for your personal property.

They basically gave you the middle finger and said ‘have fun sorting this one out Timmy Boy’.

This is not a broken glass or torn towel. Anytime I’ve ever seen just a minor ding repaired at a auto shop it starts at $600.

I wouldn’t eat that expense.

Good Luck!
