I like to know why the price changed to less money on the reservation for a guest when he is requesting for more time?
@Mark-and-Juanita0 There's not enough information here for anyone to answer the "why" question. But if you get a request for an extension or change to an existing booking, and the price doesn't seem right to you, just decline it. You can send your own alteration request that has adjusted the rates to what you think they should be, and the guest can decide whether they still want to extend the booking.
@Mark-and-Juanita0 I am guessing but perhaps you have a large discount for stays of, for example, more than a week and this was triggered by the guest's extension
@Mark-and-Juanita0 if you have Smart Pricing on, weird things can happen. Last December I had a guest book under a price minimum set by me. Just before the guest arrived I lowered the price minimum by $10 per night to encourage bookings as we were entering our slow period--this did not affect the cost of my previously booked guest's stay at that point. However, when the guest requested to extend his stay by one night, the new (lower) price minimum was applied to all the nights of his stay. Not sure if you have Smart Pricing on, but if you do, be careful!
