One of my reservations was cancelled by a guest. As I am new on AirBnB I did not know how to proceed, so I cancelled the reservation as well. I thought this would make the days available again on my calander, however, the opposite happened: the days were blocked.
Is there any way we can unblock these days again. It concerns 2-4 July.
Looking forward to your response, thanks a lot in advance!
@Wouter0, you would need to contact AirBnB in this regard. As the guest had already cancelled the reservation, ABB might be willing to unblock the dates.
You can reach them via the Help link at bottom of this page.
Or – if you have a Twitter account - try twitter@airbnbhelp. It’s said there’s a quick response.
More essential reading for hosts. Included is a link with several international phone numbers. I recently contacted ABB easily by way of the Netherlands phone number.
I note you have Instant Booking which states that you ‘MAY’ be able to cancel up to 3 times in a year without penalties if you have a concern about the guest's behaniour. I also note the automated Airbnb response added to your review section which would suggest unauthorised cancellation. Airbnb have no way of knowing the reason you cancelled, I would suggest you contact them and disucss your situation, they might agree to wave any penalties, one of which is blocking the dates you cancelled in your calendar so nobody else can book those dates.
