I have booked a studio in NYC and my trip will be one month later. I made payment(985sgd) successfully on 30 Aug 2016 and communicated quite smoothly with the host. However, I suddenly received a notification email last night (2 Sep 2016) and told me my reservation has been cancelled. No reasons. I tried hard to contact the host but there is no reply from her. She was quite nice previously but suddenly disappeared.
Airbnb informed me can either get a refund of 985sgd or use the amount(985sgd) + 98sgd credit to make a new booking. However, there is no more suitable room within all surrounding area. I requested for the 985sgd refund. However, there is no more credit balance if the amonut to be refunded. It is really unfair to a guest who has spent time and money for the stay.
There is no airbnb customer hotline. No email address. So disappointed and frastrated.
