How do i know how much is the commission that paying to Airbnb from the total host fees that i am updating the price in a listing?
Hi @Irvine1
Airbnb charges about 3% of the hosts, and about 12-15% on top to the guest.
Hi @Roberta2
I am a Host partnering with Airbnb. I am wanting to update my room rates . I believe Airbnb charges 3% of the room charge from the host as commission. So for more clarity I want to understand how it works .example - if my room rate is 100 then should top up the rate as 100 + 3% which would be - 100 + 3 = 103 . so should my room price be 103 ( just an example ) to get net payout of 100 ?
Please help.
If you advertise your room at £100, airbnb will add a service fee - so the guest will see the room at aprox . £120a night. (It varies a bit, and they may charge a conversion fee if your list is in a different currency from the guest account - if you have a list in British pounds but the guest has an account in US dollars, for example)
You have the choice to add a cleaning fee.
let’s say this is £20.
So the guest will book 10 days.
£120 x10 = £1200
+ £20 cleaning fee (it is per stay, not per day) = £1220.
airbnb will keep their fee (£200).
they will charge you about 3% fee over the base rate (£100)
so you will get about £97 per night + 20 cleaning fee
970 + 20 = £990
you have not much control over the airbnb fee.
if you go to your calendar, even before putting live, you can add prices, select a couple of dates, and you can see how much the guest pays and how much you receive
this is an example
