confirmed reservation

hello. a newbie here.  just want to ask is it possible to book a listed space without the confirmation of the host? Any reply with regards to this would be of big help. thank you!

Yes, guests can book without the confirmation of the host if the host has enabled "instant book" on their listing (it looks like both your listings are on instant book) and the booking guest meets whatever requirements (if any) the host has setup to filter guests through.

@May124  go into booking settings>how guests can book>edit >all guests must send a reservation request

This will turn on "request to book" so all guests must be approved by you before confirming their reservation.

Note that Airbnb will do everything possible to encourage you to stay on instant book durng the process to change to request to book, so just be aware of that when you're going through the process :))

It is the default setting for Airbnb. If you look on the Airbnb Help Centre and search for 'Instant Book' it will tell you how it works and how to turn it on and off.

Also worth you reading through the Q&As on the Help Centre to help you become familiar with the basics around how Airbnb works.
