Are Guests automatically asked to write a review by AirBnB after their stay? Or do the Hosts have to ask for them?

I had a guest who didn't receive an email from Airbnb to write a review, it was close to the 14 day deadline, the guest called me and asked why they hadn't received on I then called Airbnb on their behalf and Airbnb fixed the problem and sent them an email that same day. Guests were able to review within hours.
@Anna241 I believe you can't see it because the host didn't finish his review yet. If he does, it will be published. But even if he doesn't, it will occur after 14 days from the check-out.
My first guest wants to post his review, but has been advised that as the host, I have to request him to do so?
Seems somewhat strange? Can anyone advise what he should do?
@Chris158 he had been advised by whom exactly? He can do it as soon as he gets the prompt from the airbnb. It doesn't have to do anything with the host. Only when the host is very keen to get the review, he can politely ask the guest not to forget to write one, but it is actually not the system.
I have had a few guests forget to leave a review. Is it considered appropriate to contact them through the airbnb site after say 12 days with a reminder?
Similar issue with a previous guest who contacted us.
So she never got to review us.
How do I as a host review the comments by other hosts made
on a guest appling to me
I have guest on July 13 to 17 but she forgot her account password that's why she could not leave a message for review but last night or after 14 days from her check-out dates she retreived her account and she did the review for my unit but I could not find and not posted my guest review for my unit. Can you help me how to find and post my guest review in my listing please... thanks
