How do I set up my airbnb site for a longer stay as we are heading o/s and want a long term renter?

you can set min and max lenght of stay and monthly discount

pick a listing / calendar /  pick a  start date on the calendar and on the right side of your window set the end date /then scrool down to rule sets/ add rule set / set your lenght of stay discounts /.... then also set Availability / trip lenght / min stay ( 28+) and max stay

Will work with this as we are off to India soon and would love one person to stay. I just couldn't work it out. derrrrr.

@Soraya53  Just make sure you are informed about landlord/tenant laws in your area. There have been hosts who rented long term to guests who turned out to be horrible, and had a hard time getting them out, because anything over 28 days is considered a tenant, and subject to those laws. Don't assume Airbnb will have your back, and ask for references, employment history, and anything else that will assure you that the guests are trustworthy. And make sure you have a co-host, or friend or neighbor who will keep an eye on things for you.

Hmmm, I would prefer to rent to a friend or friend of friend. I would definitly be vetting any persons first, that's for sure.

Thanks for the heads up on this one, I was not aware of the 28 day tenancy thing.
