my own chair

I am not sure if this is a host only forum but i can't seem to find an answer anywhere.  I travel a lot and work from my computer at home, new to airbnb and don't see many listings for whole places (non shared) with a good chair (got a bad back) and desk.  Would hosts mind if i brought my own chair a regular computer chair that helps with my back?  I figure if shared or just private room listings maybe but I am only talking about whole apartments/house rentals.  I usually work a min. month per assignment.

@Baron1 I wouldn't care even a little bit, anymore than I care if guests bring their own towels. You might, after reviewing the photos, let a host know so that they can put the chair that they have available into storage so that the room doesn't get too cluttered. But that is purely based on the circumstances.

@Baron1 I had to travel twice in a row, first time staying in a hotel and second in airbnb. Airbnb was so much better overall but that hotel chair was by far so much more comfortable. At the end of the day, I accomplished more in the hotel just because of the chair. So I totally hear you! And to answer your question- it would not bother me one bit if you brought your own.

@Baron1  Both hosts and guests are welcome to post on these forums. It's actually helpful for hosts to read guests' points of view and questions and vice-versa.

I can't imagine why any host would have  problem with you bringing your computer chair. (Although if the guest space was up a flight of stairs, that could pose a problem for you, to carry it up, so you'd want to check that out, as well) Like Susan said, just communicate with the host before booking to make sure there isn't any reason why that wouldn't be alright and to give them an opportunity to rearrange things if necessary to make space for it.

It's also a good idea for guests who spend a lot of time online to make sure that won't be an problem, either. High speed, unlimited internet isn't a given everywhere. Some hosts are used to guests spending an average amount of time online, and budget for that, but if they are paying for a certain amount of GBs per month which is normally adequate and you end up using 3 times that much, it could be an unforeseen issue.
