payouts paused

Hello,

The payouts have been paused from Airbnb since March 2019. We have updated all the ID, confirmed it is not a business account. I have had various email communication from Airbnb, confirming they are looking into it, and the case has been closed by them, still NO PAYOUTS. I do not know what to do now. They owe thousands.

I have called the UK helpline, the US helpline. Nothing.

How can a company like AIrBNB hold onto clients funds.

They ask me to do the same steps, to verify the ID and all the page says is - great all done! Yet the payents are still paused.

This is outrageous. I would really like some help as to how this can be resolved. Next step will be a lawyer.

Did they release your payouts? Do you have any idea what could help?

Unfortunately it's been a common theme in the past few months. There's quite a few threads on this subject in the Community Centre.

 

In most cases it's difficult to fathom reason(s) for these delays. -- Only one type of problem seemed clear: Hosts are periodically sent emails to update Payout Method. A number of Hosts ignored these emails leading to paused payments, and then ran into lengthy process of re-activation of Payment Method.

 

However, from your wording 'I feel like I tried everything...' it seems you have been in contact with Airbnb, and presumably they would have informed you if it was the above issue.

 

I can only otherwise alert one of the CC Administrators, Stephanie, as she was able to help resolve a number of cases.  @Stephanie

I did have this issue since my email account was hacked and got some missed mails, one of which was this message from Airbnb asking me to add some details in order to continue the payouts. 

 

Following one of the Customer Support calls, the operator was able to re-send me the link that would take me to this form (the original link from that email). 

I tried several times to fill the details (from multiple devices, all updated to the latest browser and JavaScrip versions) but the form simply does not load (see attached image). 

 

This may still be the issue as far as I can tell, but who can help me get a link that would work?

I'm sorry but I'm not the person to answer because I'm not tech savvy. So it's quite beyond me.

 

However, hopefully someone who understands the issue may provide help.

I think finally we managed to contact a helpful support person at the UK Airbnb called Vanessa.+44 2033181111   She resolved the issue. I would insist and persist that you speak with her. It took 8 months to get the payout released. It was due to a new EU  law i believe that assume if you earn over 15k then Airbnb automatically consider you a business. They you have to justify that you are not operating as a business. Nightmare. Good luck and let me know if I can help. It is so frustrating.

I've called that number twice before, but I did not seem to get more help than other Airbnb customer support numbers. Is there any info I could give to the operators to make them understand this issue better?

 

Will I be able to request for a specific person? I doubt anyone will pass me to another person if I ask...
