pee mattress

pee mattress

Was wondering how much i should charge a guest for child peeing mattress.

Housekeeper has to wash mattress pad and bedspread.

Housekeeper said mattress would be ok but i can see the stains in the pictures she sent me.

Do i charge just for extra laundry and stians ( how much?)or mattress replacement?

@Bonnie23One a month,  I will need to have the mattress pad washed anyway. I would not charge for washing mattress pad and bedspread.

A cleaning of mattress needs to be extra since if it is not clean, urine odor will be on the mattress for some time. And it is not good for next guest to stay on a mattress with pee. You may get a quote from cleaning service. And remember to keep photos and send the quote or invoice in the Resolution Center. You may or may not get the money depending on Airbnb CS's discretion.

If you did not warn the guests when they check in about peeing on the mattress because they have children, you may give them excuse. Otherwise, you may want to seek the compensation.

@Bonnie215 you should invest in mattress protectors so that your mattress stays intact. I don't charge extra for washing the protectors and linens because I would do it anyway.

@Bonnie215  I am a bit shocked that you don't wash the bedspeads between each and every guest! Really, anything that a guest's body or luggage might touch should be cleaned each and everytime. So, no, I don't think washing a mattress pad and bedspread should be an additional charge.
