I have pre -approved a guest, but did not take the option of blocking the date for them. I've changed my mind and have decided to block the date. How do I do this?
@Doug108 I am not sure, but sometimes when I have visited the message page for a given guest, at the top there is a checkbox to block the dates (if I did not block the dates while sending the Pre-Approval).
@Doug108 You can go to your calendar page, and manually block the dates. Click on the starting date and drag to the check-out date. A box will appear on the right side of the calendar which says "Available" and under that "Blocked". Click on Blocked and then click "Save" below that. If you want to unblock the dates, do it vice-versa.
This is on the desktop version, I don't use the app.
@Sarah977 if Doug manually blocks the dates like this, will the guest still be able to book?
@Matthew285- You are so right, I didn't think of this. When I did it once for a guest who I really wanted and who had not yet secured her flight, the preapproval expired, she just sent another inquiry when she was ready, I unblocked the dates and she booked. Guest definitely wouldn't be able to book if dates were blocked, duh on me and thanks for pointing out my incomplete thought process.
@Doug108 Matthew is right- if you do what I suggested, rather than seeing if there is the option Matthew mentioned above, you'd have to contact the guest to let him know you'd manually blocked the dates and to let you know when they are ready to book so you can unblock.
