Hi

We've been hosting for a few years, and just this year I've run into a new question. We use Instant Book, but just received two separate requests to book. I asked the support desk why this happened, and they told me that either a) the person didn't have enough id on file or b) they hadn't signed the house rules. This doesn't make sense to me. Isn't it Air bnb's role to ensure guests a)  provide adequate identification and b) sign the house rules? When the requests came in, there wasn't anything to indicate why they weren't able to Instant book, and I can't see anywhere that shows me whether they haven't signed the house rules or submitted id.

@Mary-And-Dan1 What requirements do you have checked for a guest to be able to instant book?

Thanks for asking. We ask for government id and abiding by house rules (no smoking, no parties, quiet outside by 10:00). When I got the request to book,  there was nothing to indicate what it was that was preventing them from booking instantly
