We've been hosting for a few years, and just this year I've run into a new question. We use Instant Book, but just received two separate requests to book. I asked the support desk why this happened, and they told me that either a) the person didn't have enough id on file or b) they hadn't signed the house rules. This doesn't make sense to me. Isn't it Air bnb's role to ensure guests a) provide adequate identification and b) sign the house rules? When the requests came in, there wasn't anything to indicate why they weren't able to Instant book, and I can't see anywhere that shows me whether they haven't signed the house rules or submitted id.
