stovetop?

Curious on a strong opinion or even a marketing research.

I am debating to install a stovetop in the apartment (I currently only have microwave). Its going to cost approx USD 1,000 including the appliance and the installation. Is there a way to predict popularity increase based on that upgrade? In other words, would it pay for itself lets say in a year, is it not worth it?

What a beautiful place!

Yes, I would absolutely spend that money for a stovetop for such a pretty kitchen.

If you decide against it, I would suggest instead adding a nicer counter-top stainless toaster oven  for people to "bake" in as well as an electric water kettle so people can boil water for tea and coffee.

@Geo2320  Your space looks like it was just renovated! Hard to imagine ripping part of this kitchen out to add a stovetop. Have you considered an induction burner? It could live on the open shelves when not in use, pulled down when needed. Yes, induction needs special pots, but they are cheap at IKEA.

The only thing could be, it appears you were a bit stingy with outlets in the kitchen area, so it might be more trouble than I imagine.

@Geo2320   I have an oven/stovetop less than  1% of guests use it.  Most use the microwave.

@Geo2320 I have an apartment that I do not have a full blown stove in.  I have maybe lost 1 or 2 reservations over 2 years due to no stove.  I do give folks some electric cooking options in addition to a microwave.  Have you received feedback from guests or potential guests saying they would either pay more or whatever if there was a stove?  If they want to make bacon and eggs for breakfast provide an electric frying pan that you can probably buy for $25.00 at Walmart.  Maybe just give them some additional cooking options that wont break the bank.
