suspected scam

Hi, I'm looking for an apartment in Milan and I came across an advertisement on the Idealist site. Once given the availability, I was asked to pay an extended rent through Airbnb, as the owner is abroad, sent the data of the transfer I realize that the owner is a woman of whom I know nothing. How can I tell if it's a scam? thanks

@Daniele600  If you paid directly via bank transfer, rather than through the Airbnb site, you were scammed. Contact your bank ASAP.
