unblock a calender after host needed to cancel. Guest increased number of people staying.

Please advise? I'm new to Airbnb. My listing clearly states 4 is a maximum number of people who can stay in the property. After booking accepted, guests informed me there would be an extra child staying. He proposed 2 children could sleep in same bed. I cancelled booking as the property is not large enough to safely accommodate 2 adults and 3 children. I now find I cannot unblock the calendar as I cancelled the booking. How can I free up the calender? Thank you

You can't - you should never cancel a reservation as you are penalised for doing so. You should have contact AirBnB and explained the situation and asked them to find alternative accommodation for the group.

Contact AirBnB and explain what has happened - they may unblock the dates for you.

Hi. Thank you. I have searched to find how I may contact Airbnb directly and cannot find a way to make contact. Is there a direct means of making contact to explain/discuss my dilemma? Many thanks

1-I need to chang my name(FARA 'OCEAN VIEW HOME )

2-I need to chang the price to entir the home $639 for a week.

3-how do i chang for 2 day for one week?

@Jane113. try these.

You can reach AirBnB via the Help link at bottom of this page.

Or via Facebook.

https://www.facebook.com/airbnb/?fref=ts

Or – if you have a Twitter account - try twitter@airbnbhelp. It’s said there’s a quick response.

More essential reading for hosts. Contains a link with several international phone numbers (‘How to contact AirBnB’).

Regarding Contact numbers in the above link, I've twice recently had quick responses via the Netherlands phone number.

(Though oddly enough, the person to whom I spoke was actually in the US.)

i cancelled reservation as I could not find any phone numbers to call AirBnb, and my guest requested longer stay as their new space is not ready, at the same time I recieved instant booking which I cancelled. Please advise, I need free up calendar.

it is amazing there is no easy way to contact this company... I am new to the site and thought it would be good to take their advice and allow instant booking... Sadly i had overlooked my minimum booking for weekends and so have been punished on New Year's Eve when i could or should command a premium.

Hello,  I have a similar problem!   I am out on new bookings as I cannot remove the cancelled bookings on my calender.    The problem is that I did not cancel the booking at all.   Crazy that I should be penalised because of this!!!    I am a new Airbnb user as well and have been trying, without success to receive a positive reply from any Airbnb principal.  What happened with me is that guests started making their own bookings which I did not approve or know about until I noticed on the calender that guests had booked.      I had no option but to remove the bookings as I had already recieved prior bookings for those dates.   Nevertheless, the dates from the 18th December to about the 15th January are  available for rent and I am not able to secure further bookings due to the fact that the calender states that "I cancelled the booking"    This is not correct!!      This is so very frustrating!!!!   Is there anyway that these dates can be offered to prospective guests or do I have to advertise my property with another company?   Please advise?  thank you.
