Hi guys - I used to get about 50-15- views a month. Since January of this year view count has been next to nothing. Does anyone have ideas why this is happening? naturally ive also had no bookings since then. What can i do to increase my views and how can i tell where i fall in search ranking perhaps. Any help would be much appreciated.
50-150 views
Hello @Tayo1. You have a beautiful listing! Additionally, you have great reviews. I think you need to look at what else would attract travelers. If you are competively priced for the area the other issue is seasonality of your area. Is this a time of year that there are travelers in Houston? Are you aimed at vacation or business travelers? Perhaps the tourist bureau or chamber of commerce would have useful information for you. Have you looked into being a business listing? I think you might qualify. Good luck!
Thank you Linda. I think i am competitively priced but only joined airbnb last July, so perhaps there is a seasonality as you mentioned in the early months of the year.Per tourists, i missed out on the superbowl and has my least reviews in jan/feb.I am listed as business friendly on airbnb as well. So really out of ideas...
@Tayo1 I live in the desert of Southern CA and nobody, I mean NOBODY wants to come here in the summer when the temps can reach 120 degrees. I use the time to make updates, take vacations, or just chill. Of course my listing is in my home so if I have guests I have to be here. If you need to have bookings, how low can you go with your nightly price? Is some income better than none or is there a point in which you are losing money. Another thing to consider are the tax advantages. Even if you do not have bookings, you are available for bookings so you can claim expenses related to the listing. I just want you to think of the big picture. Good luck, Tayo, you deserve it!
I am having the exact problem. I usually get close to 100 looks on my 1 room and at least 60 on my second room. Now it's 50
I am usually fully booked for long term30-90 days and a 5 star host. I know you said it was instant booking creating this problem, but my home is my palace I can't
