$20 referral fee

I have a guest who is looking to book with me. They referred their friend to AirBNB and received a $20 coupon to apply to the purchase of a stay. My question is would this $20 referral coupon lower the amount I would receive as the host by $20 or is that fee taken care of by AirBNB?

My guess is that Airbnb eats it. But did you receive an email or message in the app about the reservation request? That should show you your payout.

I called the Airbnb hotline and they do eat the $20 fee and I get paid just like a normal listing without the discount. The guest just enters the referral code when they are booking online and it will reflect the $20 discount on their end but pay me the full amount on my end.
