Accepting bookings

I am a co host for an airbnb house. I am responsible for checking messages. I checked the calender and clicked to a guests to reply her inbox. It turned out that her reservation is confirmed. But I did not click any accept ot approve button. My question is:
1. One the guests are listed in calender, are they approved or accepted by the host? 
2. Is there any way to check who was the one accepted or approved the guests?

if you have Instant booking option turned on then guest can book without your approval.

If you don't have it and a guest send you a REQUEST but you don't answer in 24 h then booking is authomaticly done.

Only host or cohost or person who has a password to login to hosts profile can approve, preapprove or decline requests and inquiries.
