Adding Taxes in a special offer

If I use a special offer to collect occupancy tax, does AirBnB base their fee on the total?

Yes, there is no special area for tax to be added. AirBnB told me I needed to add it into my nightly rate and then the AirBnB fee comes from the total amount.
