Airbnb Select Program- Anyone have experience yet?

We've been invited to participate in the Airbnb Select program, and I'm trying to decide if we want to join. Any participants out there want to chime in? (Especially hosts in San Francisco, but anywhere else, too!)

Good morning,

Our listing is ready to go live, we have had our place validated and professional pics taken. We then had to fill out the commentary for the new pictures. Some of the work is duplication but we are hoping that it is worth it as we should be able to charge more money being on Select.

At this point we are simply waiting for the Select website to go up.

Has anyone received their photos back yet? We had a photographer come out in November, but still no sign of the new photos.

It sounds like Airbnb-Plus is going live this week, however I don't personally know anyone who's on the scheme yet. I have to say it sounds expensive to sign up @ $149.

We submitted description and photo's for listing of Galini Breeze in AirBnB-PLUS (fna 'Select''). Received feedback that a bathroom curtain is needed in the bathroom, while there is a beautiful 1 cm think hardenend glass door, so that was fine. Also got feedback that we'd need to add plants or books in the room, while it is clearly minimalistic Cycladic style where plants are never seen in houses here and books just attrack dust and silverfish... So, I explained this, and are waiting reaction now. Might be a matter of taste, but I hope their interior designer keeps an applicable benchmark in mind :)!

I used the program. The amount they will loan goes off of how your airbnb had done in the past. Then they just take 10% of each new stsy till its paid off. 

The fee was high but I needed quick money

for some updates so I went ahead with it. 

I think it is 10% plus a fee so a $7,000 loan might be a $7700 payback and a $345.00 fee? I think. 

Now, with new updates, My Airbnb’ s are cranking and feedback is good. So in a way the $1,000 I paid pays for itself.
